Rachel Fowler is an American actor, director and producer currently living in London.
As an actor, she has performed in regional theatres across the US including Cincinnati Playhouse, St. Louis Rep, The Alliance, Playmakers Rep, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, and The Old Globe. Before moving to London, she made her home in Colorado, working at various theatres across the state. She received Denver Post Ovation Awards for her work in All My Sons at the Denver Center, and Rabbit Hole at the Curious Theatre, as well as the 2012 Culture West “Best Season by an Actress” award and the 2013 Culture West “Best Supporting Actress” in Steel Magnolias at Senior Housing Options.
She won Best Actress at the Idyllwild Film Festival and the Milwaukee Shorts Festival for her work in the short film Mrs Drake, and her first short film, Stillness, is currently making the festival rounds.
Her other film work includes Barbarian (Zack Cregger’s “must see” horror film of 2022), Eddie and Sunny opposite Gabriel Luna and Joanna Vanderham, and Dark Window opposite Annie Hamilton and Anna Bullard.
She produced two off-Broadway plays in New York City and two site-specific productions in Denver. She co-founded The Mile Square Theatre in Hoboken, NJ and is an Artistic Associate with Théâtre Du Rêve in Atlanta, GA.
She served as Literary Producer for Local Theater Company, adjudicated the LAB, a 3 day new play festival, for 6 years.
